Capturing Trading Context
Daily Notes allow you to record your psychological state, market observations, or reasons for staying out of the market on a specific day. To make these notes searchable and analyzable, you can apply Tags to any entry. Tags act as labels (e.g., #discipline, #fomo, #choppy-market) that categorize your trading days, helping you identify long-term behavioral patterns.
Quick Access via Dashboard
You can log Daily Notes directly from the main Dashboard without navigating to the Calendar. Clicking the Note icon () on the toolbar opens the Quick Note editor.
- Date Selection: Defaults to today, but can be changed to log notes for past dates.
- Presets: Use the "No Trades Today" or "Market Holiday" buttons to instantly populate the note for non-trading days.
- Tagging: The integrated tag selector allows you to apply existing tags or create new ones directly within the modal.
Syncing & Review
Any note or tag added via the Dashboard toolbar is automatically saved to your central database. These entries are immediately visible on your Calendar and within the Drilldown views, ensuring your journal remains consistent regardless of where you enter the data.
💡 Psychology Tracking: Try tagging your days with your primary emotion (e.g., #anxious, #confident, #frustrated). Over time, you can filter your calendar by these tags to see if specific emotions correlate with your most profitable or unprofitable days.
