Why Backtesting Matters
The Trade Licks Simulator allows you to test strategies and build screen time using high-resolution historical data without risking live capital. To access it, click the "Simulator" icon in the Platform Navigator or your pinned header.
The Three Modes Explained
- Sandbox Mode: A stress-free environment. You set your starting balance and trade freely without any strict drawdown rules or daily loss limits. Perfect for raw strategy building.
- Prop Firm Mode: Simulates the strict rules of modern proprietary trading firms. You will define a Profit Target, a Max Trailing Drawdown, and an optional Daily Loss Limit. If you breach the drawdown, the account is blown!
- Replay Mode: Designed for focused practice. This mode allows you to load up specific dates and times to practice executing under specific historical conditions.
Don't forget to use the "Jump to Date" calendar icon in the replay bar to instantly teleport to the exact day you want to test!
