Using the Visual Analysis Tool

Last updated: September 10, 2025

Finding Patterns in Your Charts
The Visual Analysis page is designed to help you find recurring patterns in your trading by grouping your saved chart images. It allows you to visually compare, for example, what your "Pre-Trade Setup" looked like across all your winning trades versus all your losing trades. This can help you achieve achievements like the 'Pattern Seeker' award.
How to Use the Filters
The filters at the top control which images are displayed. To start an analysis, you must first select an Image Category (e.g., "Entry Trigger"). You can then use the optional filters for Symbol, Strategy, and Outcome to narrow the results further. Once you're ready, click the "Analyze" button.
Reading the Results

The analysis is presented in three parts:

  • Stats Bar: This shows the combined performance of all trades that match your filters, including the Total P/L, Win Rate, and number of trades.
  • Trade Highlights: This card shows the single best and worst performing trades from your filtered set. You can click on either one to automatically scroll down and highlight its corresponding image in the grid.
  • Image Grid: This displays all the chart images that match your criteria. You can click on any image card to be taken directly to that trade in your main journal for a full review.
💡 A great way to use this tool is to filter for the "Pre-Trade Setup" category and the "Lose" outcome. This can quickly show you if you are repeatedly making mistakes on a specific type of setup.
